Using data gathered since our launch in September 2008, we estimate our annual GHG emissions to be approximately 72 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent.

As illustrated above the vast majority (86%) of our GHG emissions are projected to arise from business travel, with 66% of those emissions associated with long-haul flights. Site energy consumption is projected to contribute 12% of total emissions with the remaining 2% of emissions associated with employee commuting and non-energy site emissions (waste disposal).

We plan to monitor our GHG impact annually and endeavour to reduce emissions where practically possible. Our environmental policy includes travelling by rail where possible, encouraging staff to cycle or walk to work, switching off lights and appliances when not in use and recycling office waste.

Going forward, we will assess our GHG emissions on an annual basis (by calendar year).  We will report our GHG emissions for the year 2009 in February 2010.
