Edinburgh Pre-Incubator Scheme (EPIS)

Ecometrica was launched through the Edinburgh Pre Incubator Scheme (EPIS) which was established by the University of Edinburgh in conjunction with Scottish Enterprise to promote and support innovation in Edinburgh and the Lothians. EPIS is designed to give people with a bright idea for a technology-based business the time and relevant resources to bring that idea to a stage at which it can be exploited in the marketplace.

Edinburgh Earth Observatory

Ecometrica is a partner of the Edinburgh Earth Observatory, a multidisciplinary research unit that provides strategic focus and support to The University of Edinburgh’s School of Geosciences.

Food Climate Research Network

Ecometrica is a member of the The Food Climate Research Network which works to research & promote ways of achieving absolute reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the whole UK food chain, focusing on the technological options, on behavioural change and on the policy dimensions.  It also works to foster communication and the sharing of ideas among its members, who include representatives from government, the food industry, academics and non-governmental organisations.

Scottish Environmental Technology Network (SETN)

Ecometrica is a member of the SETN which provides support to Scottish SMEs in the environmental Sector and engages with key stakeholders such as the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Local Authorities, Scottish Enterprise and larger companies who purchase the services of SETN’s members.

The University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh constitutes the main strategic partner of Ecometrica. It provides state-of-the-art scientific methods, GIS and remote sensing capabilities, access to research students and staff, and international academic collaboration and review.
