What is an Event GHG Assessment?

An event GHG assessment quantifies the total GHG emissions associated with the organisation and staging of an event. The are two types of event assessment: ex-ante and ex-post. An ex-ante assessment is completed prior to the event using estimated data and an ex-post assessment is completed after the event using real data.

What does the assessment process involve?

1. First we define an assessment boundary - typical sources of emissions assessed include:

2. Next the event organiser collects data relating to the defined activities

3. Following data collection a member of the assessment team will:

  • Review all data
  • Quantify GHG emissions
  • Produce an informative report to the client’s specifications including reporting metrics and key performance indicators
